Overview of the current status of implementation of the two thematic funds “Civil Society Participation” and “Partnership and Expert Fund” (both 2011-2018). This brief update summarizes interim results and conclusions as per mid-2015.
The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) introduced a new evaluation concept, based on a peer-review approach. During a pilot phase, four evaluations were conducted between 2012 and 2014: Bangladesh, Serbia, Tanzania and Iraq/Jordan/Lebanon/Syria. KEK-CDC Consultants drew up a synthesis report that documents lessons learned as well as important key messages.
In the context of the cantonal integration programme (KIP) of the canton of Grisons access of foreign-language youths that migrated in advanced age and low-skilled immigrants to education, schooling and training should be improved. KEK-CDC Consultants was mandated a study to describe the current situation, the demand and possible solutions in the canton of Grisons and to give recommendations.
The programme for the development of mountain regions in the Himalaya-Hindukush-Karakoram-Pamir area lasted from 2006 until 2012. KEK-CDC evaluated the programme in 2014. The evaluation report is attached.
KEK-CDC has gained experiences with the Pinboard Chat (a form of brainstorming) as part of a moderation of a large group. Our experiences, the advantages and limitations of this method are presented in the attachement.
