IDOS is an instrument for the planning, analysis and evaluation of learning systems (schools, course programmes, and vocational training systems). The abbreviation IDOS stands for “Content (German: Inhalt) – Didactics – Organisation – Significance”. IDOS provides a quantitative and qualitative overview, clarifies roles and perspectives, formulates development scenarios and analyses the feasibility of changes. It is well suited when a development step is due for a learning system such as curriculum development, practical training, evaluation of training or education performance.
