The effectiveness of economic cooperation for development (2009)

Kunde: SECO - Staatssekretariat für Wirtschaft

Background

The report on the effectiveness of economic cooperation for development is an annual report prepared for SECO's Economic Cooperation and Development service centre. This report evaluates, in an independent manner, the results obtained by the operations of the Economic Cooperation and Development service centre on the basis of external evaluations and internal reviews led by operational sections, and thus represents a measure of success of the portfolio.

Activity

Though the report is available to the public over the Internet, its content and length make it difficult to disseminate proactively to, for example, parliamentary groups. A simplified and shortened version was therefore necessary, and was the purpose of this mandate. SECO mandated A. Boin to produce a simplified and shortened version of this report.

Results

A simplified and shortened version of the report was drafted in French. This five-page version includes the principal results and recommendations of the 2008 report in a language suited to readers who don't necessarily know the jargon of evaluation or of economic development cooperation.
